The key to learning how to share yoga with children is to embrace the practice with them. Children are naturally drawn to engage in any activity that is embodied by the adult who is presenting it. This is a course for anyone, (RYT yoga instructors, classroom teachers, caregivers, therapists and parents) who wishes to introduce yoga to the children in their lives. Concrete tools and practical application are presented in a simple to follow sequence. Yoga has become a wonderful way for children to exercise their creativity and imagination while simultaneously refining their ability to relax and concentrate. Yoga engages the body-mind connection, which is a critical factor in the education of children. Yoga can be part of any lifestyle, as traditionally presented, it comprises 5 basic principles: Proper Exercise, Proper breathing, Proper Relaxation, Proper Diet, Positive Thinking, and Meditation. Flower Yoga teachers are trained and guided in a traditional, humility and service-oriented way. A deep understanding of pedagogy, child development, movement development, and sensory integration practice is at the heart of every lesson created by the teacher. Each lesson is nourished through seasonal awareness, cultural and mythical storytelling, and a practical knowledge of yoga philosophy.

SENIOR YOGA TEACHER CERTIFICATION
Individauls age 55 and older represent the fastest-growing sector of the population and, like many Americans, are increasingly drawn to yoga. This presents both an extraordinary opportunity and a serious challenge for yoga instructors who must be both a resource and guardians of safety for this uniquely vulnerable group. Learn how to incorporate the careful use of a range of props and generous instructor assistance to help with mobility and alignment. And to create a loving and supportive class atmosphere, where all students will be encouraged to gently deepen their yoga practices.
